Kaelin & Rio Houston

Both with a strong background in sailing and being on the ocean, we share a passion for life as a family, aboard our traveling home- especially when it's heeled over.

Rio has logged decades on the water as a commercial fisherman, sailing the South Pacific, and sailing the waters along the US and Mexico. Kaelin grew up racing competitively for San Diego Yacht Club, and cruising the west coast, Hawaii, and Mexico.

Now we cruise part-time with our cat, Lux. We have a tradition of spending time out on Catalina Island- something we have done every year since we first met. What's next? We're eager to begin racing Drifter, and also have a few bluewater destinations on the bucket list.

When on land we enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and growing in our faith. The best part? Everything we do- whether sailing, traveling, or ranching- we do it all as a family unit. None of this would be possible without God's grace and guidance.
